A practical guide

Using these terms

Acceptance and guest responsibility

By making an enquiry, reserving a dining table or poker seat, attending a private function, or using services at Marblean Dwillow, you are asked to read and follow these terms. They work alongside applicable venue notices and information provided for a particular booking or hosted event.

Our aim is a safe, comfortable and welcoming room for diners, guests and table participants. We ask everyone to follow reasonable directions from the venue team where those directions support that shared experience, the orderly running of service, or the comfort of others.

A dining table and a poker seat are different in-venue arrangements. Availability depends on the relevant reservation or event arrangement, so guests should use the appropriate pathway when planning a visit. We do not promise availability outside the details confirmed or discussed for an individual enquiry.

Dining

Dining visits and reservations

Reservation information

Dining reservations should be made through the venue’s reservation pathway. Please provide accurate, current details so the reservations team can understand the table request and contact you if clarification is needed or you ask to update a booking. For assistance with a dining reservation, contact [email protected]. Information supplied for an enquiry helps us respond thoughtfully, but arrangements remain subject to the details discussed for that visit.

Arrival and dining experience

A dining reservation is for an in-venue hospitality experience, with dining available from 12:00 PM. Table arrangements are guided by operational availability and the needs of service on the day. We want groups to arrive to a calm, welcoming setting and encourage guests to share relevant access needs or group considerations while making an enquiry.

Specific tables, views, service duration, menu items and dietary outcomes cannot be assumed unless they have been separately discussed. Raising a need early gives the venue the best opportunity to consider it as part of the planned visit.

Respectful dining conduct

Marblean Dwillow is a relaxed, inclusive hospitality setting shared by diners, groups and card-lounge guests. We ask diners to treat staff, fellow guests and the venue with consideration, including during lively social occasions. The venue team may address behaviour that disrupts safety, comfort or the enjoyment of others, with the intention of restoring a considered experience for everyone in the room.

A considered room works best when everyone helps look after it.

Poker lounge

Card lounge access

In-person, screen-free social poker

Offline social poker

Poker at Marblean Dwillow is hosted face-to-face inside the venue as social entertainment. It is strictly in-person and offline inside the venue, with dealer-hosted tables and a tactile table-side setting. Participation is connected to being physically present in the lounge: it is a screen-free social experience designed around conversation, hospitality and respectful play with other guests.

No remote or digital participation

Marblean Dwillow does not provide online poker, remote wagering or digital gambling software.

There is no online betting, remote wagering or real-money gaming of any kind through the venue. Poker participation occurs only at hosted tables inside Marblean Dwillow.

Hosted tables

Poker sessions and table conditions

Poker-seat reservations Hosted from 5:30 PM

A poker seat is a venue reservation for an in-person table experience and is distinct from a dining-table reservation. Guests should request a poker seat through the booking pathway or by contacting [email protected]. Hosted poker tables begin from 5:30 PM. A request helps the team understand the intended visit, but does not suggest a particular table format, available seat count or arrangement beyond the information provided for that event.

Non-monetary tournament chips

All poker events use non-monetary tournament chips. These table materials, including high-grade ceramic poker chips and tournament chip stacks where used, support the tactile hosted social format. They are part of an in-person table activity and do not represent online participation, remote access or a digital product. Guests should treat all table materials with care and follow the dealer’s table guidance during a hosted session.

Dealer-hosted play and staff directions

Dealer-hosted tournaments and face-to-face table play rely on a steady, welcoming pace. Guests are expected to follow reasonable directions from the dealer and venue team so the table remains orderly and enjoyable for all participants. Where relevant, event or table guidance will help explain the immediate format.

  • Respect fellow players, dealers and venue staff.
  • Support the pace and shared flow of the table.
  • Raise questions with the dealer or venue team respectfully.

Participation and venue discretion

The venue team may manage seating, table flow and participation where reasonably needed to uphold age conditions, safety, respectful conduct and the intended offline social environment. This is a practical part of hosting a shared room, not an arbitrary process. Poker tables operate only inside the venue and access remains limited to guests aged 18 and older who meet the identification requirement.

Face-to-face participation inside Marblean Dwillow is central to every poker table experience.

Group occasions

Private functions and group arrangements

Function enquiries

Private functions and corporate occasions are arranged through an enquiry process. This allows the organiser and venue to discuss the intended dining, social and table-hosting experience in a considered way. To begin a conversation about a group occasion, contact [email protected]. Any particular arrangements remain subject to the details agreed for that event rather than assumed package inclusions or a standard format.

Organiser responsibilities

Organisers should provide accurate group details and communicate relevant requirements early enough for the venue to give a thoughtful response. This supports clear planning without guaranteeing a requested setup, timing or availability.

Guest conduct and updates

Respectful shared space

Marblean Dwillow is designed for face-to-face hospitality. Guests are expected to act with consideration toward staff, diners, poker participants and the physical setting, helping preserve safety, comfort and respect across the venue. Reasonable staff directions support a welcoming room, particularly when different dining, group and hosted-table experiences are taking place at the same time.

Good hospitality is a shared courtesy, from arrival through to departure.

Care of venue property and table materials

We ask guests to treat venue furnishings, dining settings, cards and tournament-chip materials with care while taking part in the in-person experience. Non-monetary tournament chips, including ceramic table materials used for hosted poker, are part of a shared setting. Considerate use helps the venue maintain a comfortable, well-presented environment for the next group of guests.
